I came to explore and navigate this work as I began my healing journey many years ago in 2004. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed with life; I knew there was another way to be, another way to live and another way to serve others.
I have spent years training in other modalities because I am passionate about learning and working with the nervous system regulation and how it impacts our bodies; bringing this combination of work together with kinesiology creates a multi-dimensional healing palette, and as we know, healing is not linear, and is not a one size fits all.
In my spare time, I find resources in mindfulness, meditation, and creative projects, spending time with my beautiful family, friends and dog.
My mindfulness practice resembles monthly meditation in the woods with the Bristol Insight Meditation Center and I am currently working with the Celtic Wheel where I meet seasonally with a group of beautiful women under the support of Ally Stott who is an earth-based therapist.
The Celtic Wheel this year, is a ritual calendar handed down to us from the indigenous Celtic and Pre-Celtic ancestors who are my Irish ancestors; this yearly calendar strengthens my interest in the interconnectedness of all things. I bring aspects of this into my work daily and I love the subtle transformation that takes place within the client, especially as I see they are seeking to go deeper into their healing journeys
Continual professional development
It takes skills to navigate these precious places my clients need to go to heal. I continue to assess and be up to date with my skills to navigate your healing. With this in mind, I always seem to be on a course! I take my continual professional development for you and my work seriously. I have completed a 3-year training course and I am now experiencing the Celtic wheel to bring into my practice. I have a regular meditation practice for myself and receive my nourishing treatments for self-improvement.
Navigating our sacred needs
Sacred needs are what was once called self-care. Our sacred needs (or seeds ) are those needs of the soul. Our self-care tends to take the back burner in our busy lives. I support my clients in coming to a place of remembrance. We can be more joyful in this place of remembering our true selves. We all need some help with remembering. I help you listen to yourself first to build a relationship with your truth. When you are reminded to look within, you navigate your way forward. By gently getting out of our way, we make space for the body’s wisdom. I hold space for you from a mindful, loving and kind presence so you can learn to do the same for yourself.
Honouring my teachers along the way
We all begin this journey because someone has inspired us to look more deeply, taught us new skills, and has called us back to ourselves so we can continue to serve others. I want to say thank you to:
Dawn Bailey, Claire Muller, Paul Vick, Andrea Bode, Ally Stott, Lesley Wye and Andy Leigh.
